    We are absolutely thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of “The Public Life of Women – A Feminist Memory Project” in its long-awaited publication form. This endeavor has entailed five years of research resulting in this labour of love.

    Since 2018, Nepal Picture Library has been collecting photographs and other archival materials with the objective of creating an open visual repository of feminist experiences in Nepal. The Public Life of Women, originally curated as an exhibition, showcases selections from this archive.

    Getting to the venue
    The location of our venue for the book release is Nepal Administrative Staff College. Here is the google map link to the venue. https://goo.gl/maps/KZuKmKTycyok1aKE6
    There are two main ways to get to the venue.

    From Ekantakuna bus station, the venue is 700 meters away. From the bus station, head straight towards Jawalakhel via Ekantakuna road. After about 10 minutes of walking you will find Nepal Administrative Staff College on your right opposite of Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited.

    From the Jawalakhel Roundabout, the venue is 250 meters away. On the south western side of the roundabout you will find the Nepal Telecom office. Keep walking straight alongside the footpath opposite Jawalakhel Football Ground. After about 5 minutes of walking, you will find Nepal Administrative Staff College on your left.

    General access information about the event:
    The event hall is wheelchair accessible.
    Restroom facilities include one male and one female restroom located outside the main hall. While these restrooms are not fully wheelchair accessible, our team will be ready to provide assistance if needed.

    There are three male and three female restrooms on the left after entering the main hall.
    The event will have two Nepali sign language interpreters.

    Parking information: There are around 35 slots for free car parking within the premises. Bikes can be parked near the canteen area for free.

    The venue is accessible via public transportation. Sajha buses, micros, and tempos following the Ratnapark route through Pulchowk to Lagankhel include stops in Jawalakhel. From there, it’s just a short, 5-minute walk to the venue. Additionally, if you’re traveling on buses headed towards Bhaisepati, there’s a dedicated bus stop right in Jawalakhel.
